Watch out!
The European Consumer Centre France has received information that these days consumers have been contacted by a fake “invoicing department of Electricité de France” in order to receive a communication of their personal and commercial details (especially the contract number). It seems that this technique is used by a competitor trying to use these details to terminate your EDF contract and consider you as a new client. Be careful, and do not answer to them. EDF does not have any “invoicing department” which get directly in touch with clients in order to ask for a confirmation of personal details.
Do not hesitate to contact your EDF service. The company is aware of these manoeuvres and is determined to answer to their clients.
