A few advices to take into account when you go "good bargain hunting" …

Shopkeepers still have to respect certain rules during the sales. The customer has the same rights as usual concerning manufacturing defects and the after-sales service. This implies that the shopkeeper is obliged to exchange or to reimburse an item that has a hidden defect (a defect you could not see when you bought the product) or is not conform.

"Goods can neither be returned norexchanged": this can only refer to items which have been specially signalled as faulty or those which are normally exchanged as a commercial gesture. If you buy faulty goods, your rights to after-sales service still apply.

In any case, be always careful when buying goods in sales and control them thoroughly!

The following details should appear clearly on the label:

    * The former price has to be crossed out (this price has to be the lowest one that was indicated within the last 30 days before the sales)
    * The new price
    * The total amount of the discount

Furthermore, the item should have the label "sales" to be clearly differentiated from the non-discounted goods.

However, a general indication is enough if the discount or the new price is the same for all the goods, for instance 10% discount on all the items in a certain shelf.

Other tips for the sales:

    * Pay always attention to the after-sales service in spite of all the discounts
    * If you have any doubt about a discount, do not hesitate to ask a shop assistant
    * Always keep the receipt, it is required by the shopkeeper in case of a complaint.
