The French government has decided to react to numerous consumer complaints concerning surcharged customer service hotlines.
Since the 1st of June and the implementation of the "Chatel" Law for the development of competition Internet service providers after-sale and technical assistance call hotlines must now be available at a set number at no additional charge.
In addition, the waiting time before being connected to the help desks can not be charged any longer. Only once the connection to the help desk agnet is established, a charge can be applied.
